Meet Romina Montanari

Ciao!

I am a Professional Cook, ServSafe Certified and Italian Wine Scholar Guild Certified with high honors. I have been teaching Italian language classes for the last 18 years and fresh pasta cooking classes for the last 10 years. I taught and organized food and wine events for the Italian Cultural Center and I created Italy with Romina-Taste by Taste to provide private authentic fresh pasta parties and curated boutique food and wine tours.

I grew up in Italy in the Emilia Romagna region, an area widely considered to be the culinary capitol of Italy and the food valley of the world. I have always been passionate about food and learned about the Italian cuisine in the kitchen with my mother and aunts. As a teenager I met with a dietician in order to create a healthier diet and I started to learn about food. It was my passion and hobby as I was getting a degree from the University of Modena.

Growing up in Italy, I took Italian food for granted because it was available anytime and was all around me. It wasn’t until I moved to the United States that I realized how lucky I was for having eaten so well all my life. The thing I missed the most about home was the fresh pasta my mom, dad and I would make on the weekends for our family lunch. Making fresh pasta and teaching other people how to do it has been my passion for the last 10 years. I look forward to sharing it with you!
